MARKHAM GAS-PROCESSING PLANT EXPANSION

Williams Markham Gas-Processing Plant Expansion | Opero Energy

Client:

Williams

Location:

Matagorda County, Texas

Project summary:

Opero Energy was enlisted for engineering and equipment fabrication on a gas-processing plant expansion and new stabilizer addition project by Williams, a leading natural gas infrastructure company. To boost its capacity from deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Williams sought to expand its gas-processing plant in Markham, Texas.

For the new stabilizer, the Opero Energy team designed and fabricated a new two-product, 10,000-bbl/d modular stabilizer unit according to Williams’ composition, pressure, and temperature requirements. The team also engineered upgrades to optimize two existing 200-MMSCF/d cryogenic gas plants and two pipelines running from Station #24 to the Markham facility.

Our processing expertise and modular design approach saved time and cost on the new and upgraded equipment, enabling Williams to complete its plant expansion and begin transporting and processing natural gas from the Gulf of Mexico. Williams also deployed engineering, automation, and construction services by Opero Energy’s parent company Audubon—leveraging the benefits of a full EPC-fabrication solution.

Our modular design-fabricate-install methodology expedites project schedules and shortens onsite construction duration. By implementing this strategy for the Markham plant expansion, Williams experienced not only the processing expertise of Opero Energy, but the full scale of Audubon modular EPC project execution—resulting in faster successful startup than traditional methods.
