MODULAR AMINE TREATMENT FOR WEST TEXAS SOUR GAS

Bull Moose Amine Treatment | Project | Opero Energy

Client:

Confidential midstream infrastructure company

Location:

Winkler County, Texas

Project summary:

A large midstream infrastructure company contracted Opero Energy to address sour gas at its processing facility in Winkler County, Texas. A custom-designed amine-treating unit was required to remove contaminants such as CO2 and H2S and make the gas suitable for pipeline transport.

The Opero Energy team engineered, designed, and fabricated a complete modular gas-treating train and custom amine regeneration system, including efficient management of long-lead equipment to treat 850 MMSCFD of sour gas. The skid-mounted modular design integrated a 2,400-GPM amine circulation system and accounted for a future expansion to accommodate up to 4,800-GPM circulation. Our team was also engaged by the operator for on-site commissioning support for the equipment.

Our approach at Opero Energy focuses on quality and timely project execution, even when faced with challenges. In collaborating with the West Texas operator, we generated a custom solution to sweeten their sour gas and ensured successful operational transition with on-site commissioning support.
